Oliver - Marketing and Services Manager

I’m a History and Journalism graduate from Stirling University who is bilingual in Spanish and English. My experience in the luxury hospitality industry began with my time as an Afternoon Tea waiter in The Gleneagles Hotel, in Perthshire. I supported three of my undergraduate years there, working closely with the food and beverage departments and liaising with the Front of House team. My experience in Marketing and Communications has emerged from my academic background in Journalism and has further developed since my graduation through recent freelance work I have done. This has included building websites for clients and creating promotional multimedia content for various organisations.

My interests include hospitality, travel, multimedia production, broadcasting, music (I play the piano, violin and trumpet), contemporary History and current affairs. In my free time, I enjoy going sailing in The Trossachs on Loch Ard, and I can often be found getting the most out of Stirling University’s outstanding sports facilities, either in the gym, in the swimming pool, or playing tennis (though I’m also happy to spend my time relaxing in the Sports Centre café with a good book). My role as part of the team at the Cairn combines both the essential Marketing and also the front of house Garden Restaurant and Bar .... I look forward to welcoming you to The Cairn!
